Welcome to the ReliefSocietyUniversity. How often do we wonder where the last year went and feel like we haven't progressed over the months? The purpose of this program is to offer each sister motivation, opportunity, direction and support to aid her in reaching her divine potential and destiny as a daughter of our Heavenly Father. The goal is to help each of us be better more fulfilled women in 6 months than we are right now.This program will only last for 6 months and the “degrees” will be awarded at the Christmas Party in December.Any sister who actively participates in this program will be able to look back and know that she accomplished things that have temporal and eternal worth.
The program is simple. Look at the goals and plan how to accomplish them. Try to make this a “stretch” effort.Work on things that you need to accomplish or would like to, not things you are already doing. When you have completed a goal put your initial by the goal. You cannot count 2 goals accomplished from the same effort.We will be offering some Enrichment Classes that are coordinated with this effort and will count as accomplishing a goal.So watch for these classes and take advantage of them!

You must complete 11 goals in each area

You must complete 14 goals in each area
The sister who completes the most goals will get special recognition as the Relief Society University Valedictorian and the sister who completes the 2nd highest total will be the Relief Society University Salutatorian. We hope that each sister in the ward will participate. We think it will be fun and rewarding! Good luck to each of you as you embark on this adventure of growth and development.

FACTS about BirminghamTemple:
Clothing rental is NOT available at this temple;There is no Beehive Clothing in Birmingham).
The Birmingham temple can accommodate 48 patrons in an endowment session.
The temple has two sealing rooms.They can accommodate 25 & 40 patrons for weddings.
There is no chapel in this temple. There is one tiny multi-purpose waiting room which is used for youth waiting
for their baptismal group, members and non-members waiting for wedding parties, children waiting to
be sealed to parents and also is where the temple workers eat their lunch/dinner.
Cafeteria service is NOT available at this temple.
Youth baptism groups need to be limited to around 20 youths. The temple has 24 half-lockers each in the
boy’s and in the girl’s changing rooms, which would be shared by both the incoming & outgoing
groups.
There is an adjacent meetinghouse used by the Gardendale Ward of the Birmingham, AL Stake which
possibly may be available for visiting groups to use.

We will be doing the bulk berry orders from Bithell Farms like we did last year. If you participated last year, you know these were good quality berries! Please be sure to pick up an order form and all money must be turned in to Cheryl by JUNE 21. The berries come frozen and ready to be used. It is recommended that you divide up the large boxes into smaller bags so that you don't have to thaw the entire box each time you want a small amount. There is a wide variety of berries available, so be sure to get an order form.
